Why we make these books.

Hi. We’re the little family behind tinyshelf, working out of Vancouver. It started the way these things usually do: we wanted a picture book that actually starred the kid we read to every night, and nothing on the shelf came close.

So we made one. Then we made it easier to make, so other families could have the same thing: a story where your child is the hero, printed as a hardcover sturdy enough to survive bedtime for years.

We use AI to draw and write, but the point was never the technology. The point is a book worth keeping. That’s why you see the character, the cover, and the first pages free, before anything is decided, and why the hardcover only prints after you’ve approved it. If the preview doesn’t feel like it belongs on the shelf, you don’t continue.
