Will the character really look like my child?
Yes. Upload one clear photo and we paint your child into a character with the same face, hair, and skin tone across the book. You'll see the character and preview before you decide.
Is my child's photo private?
Yes. Your uploaded photos and details stay private: stored only while we create and support the book, never sold, and never used by tinyshelf to train models. Card details are handled by Stripe. If you want a photo or draft removed, email us and we'll delete it.
How long will shipping take?
Production takes 4 to 6 days after you approve the finished book, then shipping takes about a week. US orders arrive roughly two weeks from approval.
Is it a real hardcover book?
Yes. A genuine 8.5×8.5" casewrap hardcover with 32 full-color illustrated pages and your child's name on the spine. It's printed on thick, durable paper and built to survive years of bedtime reading.
Can I make one for an older kid or a teenager?
Yes. The art styles and story tone scale with age. Our oldest readers so far are 13. You pick a style and reading level up front, so the book lands age-appropriate rather than babyish, and you'll see it all in the preview.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. After you continue the hardcover, you have 24 hours for a full refund before print. If something arrives wrong, we'll reprint or refund it.
