Then don't continue. The first preview is free. If you pay for the hardcover and change your mind, you can get a full refund within 24 hours of checkout, before you approve the print.
Will the character really look like my child?
Yes. From one clear photo of your child, we paint a character with the same face, hair, and skin tone across the book. You'll see the character and preview before you decide.
Will it really look like my dog?
Yes. Add one clear photo of your dog too. We read the coat, markings, ears and size from it and paint that same dog on every page. You'll see your dog in the free preview before you decide. No dog photo handy? Describe your dog in a few words instead.
Is my child's photo private?
Yes. Your uploaded photos and details stay private: stored only while we create and support the book, never sold, and never used by tinyshelf to train models. Card details are handled by Stripe. If you want a photo or draft removed, email us and we'll delete it.
How long will shipping take?
Each book is printed to order. Production takes 3 to 5 days, then shipping takes about a week, and US shipping is free.
Is it a real hardcover book?
Yes. A genuine 8.5×8.5" casewrap hardcover with 32 full-color illustrated pages and your child's name on the spine. It's printed on thick, durable paper and built to survive years of bedtime reading.
Who is it for?
Children from about 3 to 8 whose best friend has four legs. Add your child's photo and your dog's photo, or describe your dog instead. Both become the heroes of a Christmas rescue, with both names on the cover and all through the story.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. You can get a full refund within 24 hours of checkout, before you approve the print. If something arrives wrong, we'll reprint or refund it.
