Grandchild and grandparent in one Christmas story
Add one photo of your child and one of their grandparent, and the word your family uses: Grandma, Papa, Nana, Abuela or a first name. On Christmas Eve, Santa's sleigh lands by their reindeer food and his littlest reindeer runs off to hide. Your child spots her tiny hoofprints and knows the secret hiding place; their grandparent hushes the crowd, lifts the branch and saved one handful of oats, just in case. Both keep their own faces, ages and looks on every page.
- Your child and their grandparent painted from their own photos, both names on the cover and on their reindeer-food pail
- 32-page hardcover for children ages 2 to 10 and a grandparent of any age

What if I don't love the preview?
Then don't continue. The first preview is free. If you pay for the hardcover and change your mind, you can get a full refund any time until you approve the print.
Will it really look like my child and their grandparent?
Yes. Add one clear photo of your child and one of their grandparent. We paint each of them from their own photo, with the same faces, hair, glasses and skin tone on every page, at their real ages. You'll see both of them in the free preview before you decide.
What does the book call the grandparent?
Whatever your family says at home: Grandma, Nana, Papa, Abuela, Gigi or a first name. It goes on the cover, the pail and every page.
Is my child's photo private?
Yes. Your uploaded photos and details stay private: stored only while we create and support the book, never sold, and never used by tinyshelf to train models. Card details are handled by Stripe. If you want a photo or draft removed, email us and we'll delete it.
How long will shipping take?
Each book is printed to order. Production takes 3 to 5 days, then shipping takes about a week, and US shipping is free.
Is it a real hardcover book?
Yes. Our storybooks are 8.5 × 8.5 inch hardcovers with 24 or 32 full-color pages, depending on the title, and both names on the spine. The Field Atlas is an 82-page, 8.5 × 11 inch hardcover, or 98 pages with the Flora + Fauna upgrade. Check the book's product page for its format.
Who is it for?
For a child aged 2 to 10 and a grandparent of any age. Make it as a gift for either of them, or as a book they can read together. Use Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Abuela or the name your family uses. One photo of each becomes two painted characters, with both names on the cover and throughout the story. The sample shown is Ava and Grandma.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. You can get a full refund any time until you approve the print. If something arrives wrong, we'll reprint or refund it.
