Two children, one story

A personalized Christmas book for two siblings

The two-child edition of Santa's Missing Reindeer puts both children in one Christmas story, each illustrated from their own photo. It is written for children about 2 to 10, including twins and siblings years apart. Each has a part in finding Santa's missing reindeer.

Both children help solve the problem

Santa's littlest reindeer is hiding in the garden. One child spots the tiny hoofprints; the other knows the secret hiding place. Neither role depends on being taller or older. Both names appear on the cover and on their reindeer-food pail.

Twins, close in age or years apart

Add one clear photo of each child and enter their names and ages when asked. The pictures should keep a toddler a toddler and twins close in size. Check both characters in the preview rather than assuming one photo can stand in for both.

Choose the right cast before you start

The two-child edition features two children. The grandparent edition features one child and one grandparent. They are separate editions with different roles and personalization. Choose the pair you want to see together in the finished book.

Words from opening spread 1

On Christmas Eve, Maya and Leo made reindeer food, so Santa would find them. "Just a sprinkle," said Maya, but Leo wanted lots and lots. They counted, "One, two, three," and up it went, a little onto the snow and a lot onto them. Then Leo stopped laughing. "Listen." The sky was jingling.

The sleigh landed in their garden. Leo held out the pail, and a big reindeer pushed its nose in. Crunch, munch. The pail tipped, and Maya caught it as Santa bent to read the names. "Maya and Leo," laughed Santa. "My reindeer smelled it from the clouds." Then Santa went quiet.

Words from opening spread 3

The littlest harness hung empty. Santa whispered, "Nutmeg got a fright and ran off to hide. I can't go without her." Maya was already looking at the shed. "We're the best at hide-and-seek." Leo scooped up a mitten full of oats for Nutmeg, and Santa knelt beside them. "Can you two find her?"

Yes. The two-child story works for two children, including cousins or friends, with their own photos and names.
